The situation for businesses has been changing like the Melbourne weather for the past several months.
This week it was the Stage 4 Lockdown that shook things up. And just like when you need to pull off the road to throw on a jacket because your sunny day has all of the sudden been replaced by torrential rain, we’ve changed things up in keeping with the Victorian State Government Guidelines.
So here’s what’s happening at Lug & Carrie during the Stage 4 Lockdown.
The good news is that new customers can still apply as normal by hitting the Apply button anywhere on our website.
Unfortunately our retail location that we share with Good Cycles will be closed, so we won’t be doing test rides and new customers will not be able to pick up their bikes at our shop.
All new customers will have a bike delivered to their house, and we have expanded deliveries to Wednesdays and Saturdays in order to keep up with additional demand. All deliveries will be made contactless, and the bike santised before handover.
For our current and future customers, we are available for repairs by appointment if your bike is not operational or if there is a safety issue, but ongoing maintenance will be postponed until the Lockdown situation changes. All bicycles that need to be repaired will be picked up and returned to you.
The Rider Rescue service is still available in an emergency.
As always, we can be reached at at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
In the meantime, put together a lockdown survival plan like one of our new customers. Hers included a cuddly dog, a fashionable mask, and an ebike from Lug & Carrie. Here's to hoping we'll only need our plans for the next 6 weeks.
